woohoo. hello world

hmmm. so this is interesting. ive been checking out like all vegan foodie blogs and am quite fascinated. ive decided to go vegan, not like it's that much of a change for me anyways. to be ironic, my first picture will be one of seitan instead of tofu :) it is a stir fry that i made with seitan, rehydrated wood ear and shittake mushrooms, lily flowers, ginger/garlic and spices. YUM! more later...

I'm not vegan actually, I obey my mom when she says I HAVE to eat meat for dinner. But thank God I get to cook my lunches! It's a burden though, something other kids my age don't have.

oh, that stir fry sounds so intriguing! lily flowers and seitan? so special!

I'm not sure if they'd have seaweed tofu at asian grocers, but it's definitely worth a look. I use Unisoya brand, which is canadian, but in a pinch you can just add kelp powder to regular tofu to get a similar flavour.

I can't wait to see where your blog goes, good luck with veganizing all that amazing food!
