And the answer to life is......

42!!!

So if any of you have seen Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you will know that the answer to life is 42!!! haha. "So what does that have to do with anything?" you ask. Well friends, this is my 42nd post! Yay! haha. This would also be my excuse for not posting yesterday. I was about to post about some treats that I had brought to school yesterday when I realized that this was THE most important-once-in-a-lifetime post! So what did I do for my 42nd post?

I MADE 42 MARGARITA CUPCAKES!!!!

The recipe is a slightly modified version of the one from VCTOTW (I used some coconut essence oil for flavoring).

Here they are, cooling.

Frosted with lime coconut cream and lightly dusted with green sugar:

I also managed to get margarita candles (these were for my mom's birthday, which happens to be today!), thus making these cupcakes super extra special!

Needless to say, these were some pretty HOT cupcakes :D

P.S. Congratulations to everyone who guessed TOFU on the last post! The hint was in the title; I am TOFUfreak, therefore my meme would include TOFU. haha. If you happen to read this and have a food related blog title, I tag YOU! to do a picture meme! Go!

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is my favourite book in the whole wide world. You gotta read the Trilogy of Five - so so so awesome. Douglas Adams was a genius.
I couldn't watch the film because it just doesn't do the book justice. I know most films aren't as good as their books but HHGttG was just SOOOO wrong.
Anyway....nice cupcakes.

*grabs one and runs away

Now you only got 41 - you're all wrong!!

Those are the cutest little cupcakes ever! Love the candle, too.

Congrats on your 42nd post, and Happy Bday to your mom!

42, that's a lot of cupcakes!!! But as they look delicious there was probably no problem with having leftovers.

An excellent number of cupcakes, indeed! That is, as long as you have help eating them... Otherwise that will be one excellent stomach ache instead!

I'll just take one of those cupcakes for the prize thank you very much.

Hi :)
I saw your blog's name on Leesa's list of blogs she follows and went "oooh! I gotta stop by there!!" I'm a vegetarian, and very impressed with your skills (there's no way I could ever attempt any of this...nothing would turn out if I tried!)
Good for you to be young and living healthy (I'm old enough to be your mother LOL) you definetely have a great future ahead of you! :)

wow, those cupcakes are sooooo cute. I love tinted sugar and sprinkles on a cupcake. it increases it's cute factor. It's cool that you made 42 of them.

Happy Bday to your mom. What a neat candle.

I made bday cupcakes for somebody last night.

Those cupcakes look incredible! I've never seen that "cooling upside down" trick either... pretty nifty.
